ビリージョエル Billy Joelのフィルラモーン Phil Ramoneプロデュースによる1977年作大名盤「The Stranger」が、2008年になって同年のNYCカーネギーホール・ライヴ音源を収録したCDを加えた2枚組「Legacy Edition」として新装リリース、ヒットを記録しました。
ここで紹介する今作は、更なるボーナスDVDを加え、北米内の特定ストア限定でリリースされていた「ビリージョエル - The Stranger Legacy Edition : Exclusive CD/DVD Version」です（DVDはNTSC方式映像のリージョンフリー盤につき、日本国内で再生可）。
